Originally from Teutopolis, Illinois, Gregg moved to Nashville in 2000 after completing his Bachelor’s degree (Eastern Illinois University) and Master’s degree (University of Tennessee, Knoxville).  He immediately began spending his days working for the former johnnyraBB drumstick company and playing nights in the local club scene.  In 2003, he began playing with country artist Aaron Tippin where he spent 3 ½ years touring throughout the United States including an overseas tour to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Gregg currently freelances in the Nashville area and previously played with country artist, Easton Corbin, from 2017-2025.  Easton has had two #1 hits on country radio and other top 5 hits on each of his three albums.

For the 10+ years prior to playing for Easton, Gregg played drums and was musical director for 2006 American Idol finalist and 2013 “Dancing With The Stars” winner, Kellie Pickler. While with Kellie, he performed on numerous television shows including: The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno, Ellen Degeneres, Good Morning America, The Today Show, American Idol, Dancing With The Stars, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, The View, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Regis & Kelly, Fox and Friends, ACM Awards, CMA Awards, CMT Awards, ACA Awards, and the Salute to the Troops ACM Special.  Kellie’s gig also included touring on Brad Paisley’s “Bonfires & Amplifiers” tour, Rascal Flatts’ “Still Feels Good” & “Nothing Like This” tours, Sugarland’s “Love on the Inside” tour, Taylor Swift’s “Fearless” tour, and Toby Keith’s “Hammer Down Under” Australian tour.  Also with Kellie, Gregg took four USO tours traveling to Kuwait, Afghanistan, Turkey, Italy, Spain, England, and Hawaii to perform for the troops.

During his time in Nashville, he has had the opportunity to perform on many different television shows.  In 2012/2013, Gregg appeared on various episodes of Season 1 of the ABC hit show “Nashville” where he was the drummer for the “Juliette Barnes” character played by Hayden Panettiere.  Check out the television credits page to see a list of all of his television performances.
